I have practiced massage therapy since 1995 in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia and I continue to study and acquire new therapeutic techniques that enhance my ability to meet the needs of my clients. My specialty involves corrective work in order to help those with both acute and chronic pain. This includes orthopedic massage, neuromusclar therapy, deep tissue work and myofascial release. The human anatomy naturally strives for balance, therefore, any imbalance, whether it be from injury, stress or misalignment, can lead to dysfunction and pain.
Massage therapy can accelerate the body's healing process and in most cases, help reduce or eliminate lingering pain. By restoring range of motion when there are restrictions, the client can be helped to exit the pain cycle and therefore approach optimum health. The work that I do addresses migraines, rotator cuff problems, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, low back pain, thoracic and cervical pain. I accept referrals from physicians, chiropractors and physical therapists and am particularly experienced in working with people who have had motor vehicle accidents.
My office is located in Chestnut Hill Philadelphia and my hours are flexible. I am also a fine artist and my studio is in the same building as my practice. www.helenehalstuch.com
